Every year in June, we invite you to Western Norway's largest Viking festival at the Viking garden in Avaldsnes.
"Vikings" from all over Europe gather here. Historic surroundings, with reconstructed buildings from the Viking Age, set a nice setting and a wonderful atmosphere around the event. This is a meeting place for friendship and cultural development.

The Vikings Come to West Stow!

Meet members of Jorvik Vikingr as they occupy the Village and show us their daily life and skills. Listen to their stories and sagas, enjoy craft demonstrations and maybe even have a chance to see their weapons and find out about more about Viking combat skills!

Meet the citizens of the Viking town, see how they lived amused themselves and worked on their estates a normal day in the era of the Harald Bluetooth dynasty's reign. Daily we hold the Family Games Open contest, so gather up your family and compete in the historic Viking dames.

This week will be full of activities for all ages: Exciting Viking tales, historic games and various crafts you can watch, learn or try your hand at. Children may join the Harald Bluetooth Viking club.
Symposium Experimental Music Archaeology
